To serve its industrial members, the Engineering Research Center offers short courses for semiconductor industry personnel on design for the environment (DFE)-related topics. The center also offers a tele-seminar series and a distance learning certificate program.
Arizona Master Gardeners are university-trained volunteers who serve as community educators. They work with the UA to provide research based information on environmentally responsible gardening and landscaping to the public. After completing a semester long course concentrated on gardening and the environment, Master Gardeners Associates volunteer to serve their communities.

WaterWise is a joint public and privately funded University of Arizona Cooperative Extension program that seeks to educate local residents on water conservation strategies. WaterWise Partners include Cochise County, the city of Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, and Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative.
