Plant Sciences

Specific areas of research emphasis include basic and applied aspects of plant science with emphasis on plant growth and development, physiology, cell and molecular biology, genetics, crop, horticultural production systems, and plant pathology. The department encourages students to integrate the more classical aspects of these areas with recent innovations in order to develop both breadth and depth in the field of plant sciences during their graduate studies.
