Geosciences
Description
Geosciences offers a two-year MS and a four-year PhD program. The MS program is designed to train students for work in industry; local, state, or federal government programs; or as teachers in a junior college setting. The PhD program is designed for students who plan to work in research-oriented capacities in the academic community, in industry, or in government. In addition, the department offers a PSM in economic geology, which offers geologists cross-disciplinary training in science, business, engineering, and other fields. This program leads to a professional master's degree that can be completed in one year.
