Rural Health Research Center
Description
The mission of the Southwest Border Rural Health Research Center is to conduct policy-relevant (action or applied) research that addresses health issues affecting the southwestern United States, the U.S.-Mexico border region, and the nation; disseminate research results to influence policy; carry out program evaluations that focus on the same issues; provide learning opportunities for university students to develop their skills and expertise in research and evaluation; provide technical assistance in these two areas to rural communities, state agencies, and organizations; and collaborate with institutions and communities throughout the southwestern U.S. and Mexico.
