The University of Arizona has been a leader in many areas of sustainability for more than a decade and earned a gold star rating from the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education for our comprehensive approach and our vision as a living learning laboratory for sustainability.

Operations, Planning, and Campus Design

The award-winning departments within the University of Arizona that oversee campus design, construction and operations, and student services are integral to the University of Arizona's long-term commitment to sustainability. Over the decades, they have demonstrated leadership locally, regionally and nationally through a variety of projects, demonstrations, and best practices.

Student Clubs and Groups

The UA offers nearly 200 clubs and organizations for students focused on fun, community projects, sports and special interests. Many of these groups work on projects related to campus sustainability and/or engaging students and employees in related issues.
